Early Christians & the Jews
When one begins to discuss anti-Semitism, one usually thinks of current or recent examples: anti-jewish demonstrations in the Mid-East; Severe persecutions such as the holocaust, or shoah and maybe even historically of the Pogroms in Europe and around the globe. Anti-Semitic epithets of "Christ-Killer" are well-known; but where did these attitudes and doctrines come from?

The notion that the Jews directly killed Christ is erroneous; the culpability for that Great Crime lies with us all. It often stems from a lack of knowledge of Scripture; of the ignorance of what went on that day on the Gabbatha, or Pavement, and of the difference between intentionality and the sovereign will of God. Those issues are of critical importance, and a discussion of such may be found elsewhere. Click here for "Culpability of the Jews in Jesus' Death
